The avatar creator represents a fast-growing sector with many job opportunities in the future. The continuous evolution of immersive technologies, virtual worlds and the metaverse has fuelled the demand for professionals capable of creating and customising digital avatars.
With the increasing adoption of virtual worlds, social media and artificial intelligence, it is expected that the demand for avatar creators will continue to grow. Companies are increasingly exploiting digital avatars for marketing, communication and entertainment purposes, opening up new avenues for creativity and innovation.
But the creation of your avatar will not only be an artistic and creative experience, we will explore several case studies of famous avatars or avatars used by big brands. For example, the success of "Lil Miquela", a virtual influencer who has amassed millions of followers and collaborates with top fashion brands such as Prada and Calvin Klein. Or the case of Japanese 'VTubers'.
The course will provide you with a 360° understanding of how avatars can be used in marketing, entertainment and other industries. In short, it is a bridge to the digital future, a future in which your virtual identity and avatar could become a key element of your career and your expression in the world.
Course Outline MODULE 1 | Avatar Overview
In this module, we will explore the fascinating dimension of the Metaverse and the importance of avatars in this context. You will understand the role of avatars as digital alter egos and discover how they can bring virtual worlds to life.
MODULE 2 | Successful case studies
We will study several successful case studies of famous avatars, including "Lil Miquela" and "VTubers". We will analyse how these avatars have been used effectively in marketing and entertainment and draw useful lessons from them.
MODULE 3 | Opportunities and careers
We will explore the booming avatar market and the different career opportunities it offers. This module will give you an idea of how you can use your new skills in various areas of digital.
MODULE 4 | Creating the avatar
After the detailed presentation of the best avatar creation tools and software, we will proceed with the creation of your own avatar.
MODULE 5 | Implementation in the metaverse
In this module, we will learn about the main platforms and how to approach them, the basic implementation techniques to bring your avatar to life.
MODULE 6 | Content creation
We will simulate and experience first-hand how your virtual identity and avatar can become a key element of your career and your expression in the world. This module will give you the opportunity to put into practice everything you have learnt and make plans for your future in the Metaverse.
The course is open to anyone interested in learning more about the Metaverse, the future of communication and marketing, who is curious to discover the Metaverse and its inhabitants through an extremely practical approach. Curiosity and passion for technology are the only requirements.
At the end of the course, you will be able to successfully master various enabling technologies in the fields of augmented reality, metaverses and generative AI while gaining the skills to deepen your own metaverse community or to create and curate your own metaverse community.
Diplomas and certifications
The course awards:
- the "Geeks Academy DIPLOMA" certificate;
- the "DIPLOMA SUPPLEMENT", a bilingual document in Italian and English certifying the skills acquired according to EU standards;
- Issuing "DIGITAL BADGE" of course completion enabled for sharing on LinkedIn platform in Licences & Certifications area.
- In addition, from 2022, it is possible to have a Diploma recognised by the Emirate of Dubai for those who will carry out the classroom phase at the Dubai headquarters.
Job Placement & Career Coaching
The course includes priority participation in Career Days, job interview sessions with Italian and international partner companies and organisations. The final objective of the job interviews is employment, which may be through probationary periods, assisted company training or project work.

The course will be delivered in FAD mode.
Classes may be held in the evenings (e.g. Tuesday and Thursday 21:00 - 22:40) and/or at weekends (Saturday and/or Sunday 10:00-13:20 and/or 14:10-17:40).
NOTE: hours are to be understood as academic hours of 50 minutes.
E-learning platform
Our didactics allow you to study wherever and whenever you want, even if you work and have little time. All lectures are delivered live online by in-presence lecturers and are recorded so that they can also be accessed later on our e-learning platform - where you will also find plenty of useful content for individual study and practice!
